Biportal Endoscopic or Microscopic Tubular Approach?
This study compared the outcomes of two minimally invasive surgical techniques for treating foraminal and extraforaminal lumbar disc herniation (FELDH): biportal endoscopic (BE) and microscopic tubular (MT) paraspinal approaches. The researchers analyzed data from 76 patients who underwent surgery for FELDH, with 43 receiving BE paraspinal approach for decompressive foraminotomy and lumbar discectomy (paraLD) and 33 receiving MT paraLD.
